is there a digital SLR camera that does not require the changing of lenses?

Question by : is there a digital SLR camera that does not require the changing of lenses?
I am looking for a DSLR with one lens that can do most of what other SLR’s do requiring the changing of lenses. i have found the canon powershot sx20 is, which has an optical zoon of 20x, but it is nothing more than an advanced point and shoot camera (categorized as a SLR-like camera), and does not have single lens reflex photo shooting. thanks in advance.

You can get one and then get a lens that does it all, but you aren’t going to find a one piece camera that has all the flexibility of an SLR.

What digital SLR camera is a good buy? inexpensive and good quality?

Question by cookie: What digital SLR camera is a good buy? inexpensive and good quality?
I want to get a digital SLR camera to play with photography. My point and shoot digital camera doesn’t give me depth of field, pictures look flat.

What digital SLR camera is not that expensive but gives you good quality of photos?

Any Digital SLR will run you 700+.
I suggest starting with a film SLR.
Find one on ebay for under $ 100.
Shoots great and you learn a lot more than the automatic digital help that many digital SLRs have.

Then once you feel that photography is actually something worth investing in, then research and find one right for you!

Q&A: what is the difference between a digital and a dslr camera?

Question by : what is the difference between a digital and a dslr camera?
I am looking for a camera that isn’t too expensive. I found the nikon sx20 IS and it looks good. whats all this dslr stuff?

SX20 IS is from Canon, not Nikon.

DSLR stands for “digital single lens reflex”, so basically they are digital camera as well.

They work just like the old Film SLR cameras but use a digital sensor, usually far more superior image quality compare to smaller camera like the SX20 IS, but you pay for every bit of quality they give.

SX20 IS or other smaller cameras do provide a lot of things DSLR cannot, such as that it can do just about everything that would be impossible on a dslr in a small package. It has a 20x zoom, no dslr can have that, and to cover the range of SX20is with a dslr, you need to buy lens cost enough to put a kid or two through college.

So yeah, pros and cons, get the SX20 IS if you’re not too picky about image quality, else dslr are the only way to go for now.
